Our School Curriculum

We follow the national curriculum for all subjects. Religious education (RE) is taught in line with guidance from Birmingham Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE).
Following a review of our curriculum, we have revised our long and medium term plans. We have created a bespoke curriculum selecting the most significant knowledge and skills for each subject. We have included opportunities for pupils to revisit key content so that they are secure in their knowledge and skills.

The content and sequences of learning have been carefully considered to ensure that there is progression from year to year in each subject and skills can be developed in an appropriate sequence.
Through all subjects, we match learning to children's needs and provide challenge so that all children can reach their potential. Children who require additional support, including those with special educational needs and / or disabilities are supported to ensure that they can access the curriculum.

The delivery of the curriculum is supported by ongoing training for staff, a wide range of resources and enrichment opportunities beyond the classroom. Our wider curriculum includes opportunities for children to develop and pursue interests beyond the academic aspects of school life.
